BOOKS!
This is my haul from ALA. The ones on the left are ones I got signed, and the ones on the right are tasty, tasty ARCs.
Final ARC tally, from top to bottom:
- Catching Fire - Suzanne Collins (Duncan made a 9 a.m. run on the Scholastic booth to get this for me, because he is awesome.)
- The Miles Between - Mary E. Pearson
- Fire - Kristin Cashore (!!!!!!!! *jumps up and down*)
- Love Is the Higher Law - David Levithan (He was there, but I didn’t get to meet him)
- How to Say Goodbye in Robot - Natalie Standiford
- Going Bovine - Libba Bray (She describes this as “the feel-good Mad Cow string theory book of fall”)
- Hush, Hush - Becca Fitzpatrick
- Liar - Justine Larbalestier
- The Devil’s Kiss - Sarwat Chadda
- By the Time You Read This, I’ll Be Dead - Julie Anne Peters (I read Luna this year and loved it, so I’m looking forward to this)
- The Treasure Map of Boys - E. Lockhart (Yay! Ruby Oliver!)
- Another Faust - Daniel and Dina Nayeri (I asked the guy at the Candlewick booth what good YA ARCs he had, and he booktalked this one to me, but the whole time I was eyeing a copy of The Ask and the Answer I could see behind him. He seemed so excited about this one, though, I didn’t want to ask.)
- Leviathan - Scott Westerfeld (!!!!!!1! *somersaults*)
Man, after I got Leviathan I was super excited, but then after I got Fire (thanks to Liz for telling me where to find it!), I was just sort of in an awed daze. It was booklust-overload. I don’t even know what to read first.
